
Josefina Torres Trujillo is an artist born in Lima, Peru.
Since childhood, she has shown a keen interest in art by attending courses at Escuela de Arte y DiseƱo Corriente Alterna (2010 - 2011).
During the years 2012 and 2013, she participated in the Cambridge IGCSE Art & Design certification, where she was able to develop technical skills in two and three dimensions, form and composition. Later, in 2015 she participated in the Art Lima Fair, a renowned Peruvian fair, serving as curator of important artists from South America.
In 2016 she was admitted to Angel Academy, in Florence, Italy, where she stood out as an exemplary student as she managed to master the classic concepts that would later become the foundations to her art. She worked as a monitor in Martinoh Correa's Caravaggio Workshop that same year. She also participated in workshops of renowned artists such as Amaya Gurpide, Jordan Sokol, Jared Woznicki and Shane Wolf, managing to exchange knowledge and experiences that contributed to her development.
In 2018, she completed a three-year program at Angel Academy, graduating as a classical artist with Cum Laude Honors. The following year, she moved to the United States, where she continued her art studies at the Grand Central Atelier in New York, obtaining drawing and painting certifications in 2020 and 2021, experiences that allowed her to explore new ways of appreciating form and finding her own style.
